Then select a card and consult the guidebook to discover the message that Nyx intends for you. Just like Zoey Redbird and the other fledglings of the House of Night, you will be encouraged to trust your intuition and make powerful decisions about your life!
The Wisdom of the House of Night Oracle Cards is an original divination system, created by P. C. Cast and oracle expert Colette Baron-Reid. It draws inspiration from the Tarot, Norse runes, and the I Ching, but no special expertise is required to use these cards. The illustrations are by digital artist Jena DellaGrottaglia.

Great Tool For Accurate Oracle Connection
1. All 50 cards included, no duplicates. 2. The cards are thin. You must make sure to carefully, slowly separate them. 3. These cards helped to provide a good reading or advice, that was directly relating to a particular situation in my life. 4. These cards are sufficient for persons who are beginners, or those who have little experience, some or a lot of experience reading cards. 5. The quality of the artistry is detailed, vivid and gives a good representation of the card meaning. 6. I have started using these cards on a regular basis. I am satisfied with my purchase. I definitely recommend this oracle card deck.

Concept is good, quality is awful
I've never complained about cardstock before (for instance, I feel that Lo Scarabeo decks are perfectly adequate), but this is straight terrible. If you go to a craft store and buy value papercrafting solids, you'll get this. It's not even as heavy as a cheap blank greeting card. The corners are sharp. I should have looked more closely at the customer images, because a couple do show this. Unfortunately, you can't just round them without damaging the gilding -- which, incidentally, is stuck in little pieces to the front of some cards. The images are perfectly nice. I definitely don't hate what the deck IS, just what it's ON. I had such a hard time picking out an oracle deck (not huge, not appropriative, no slurs, no angels) that I'll stick with it and try it out. The deck concept is probably a solid 4 stars, but production crapped out.
Amazing for Price!!
AMAZING looking deck. Love the silver edges. Was hesitant to get them after reading some reviews. They were not stuck together at all. Cards are of good quality in my opinion. ESPECIALLY for the price! The ONLY issue I have with them is their sharp edges when shuffling. But as I use them more and more I’ve gotten used to them. And also, this deck is dedicated to the Goddess Nyx which I didn’t pay attention to. I don’t think you HAVE to call on her to effectively use this deck. But it’s a plus for those who worship her as their deity. I use it intuitively and still get good reads but overall I am VERY happy all around.

I loved the HoN novels and read all of them with a hunger that was beyond words. Being a mature adult, it was surprising me to love a series aimed at teenagers, but I did. And when I discovered that there was a card deck to go with it, I had to have that as well. Now I have a very long history of studying anything spiritual and esoteric I could lay my hands on, three decades of research. So I could perhaps take of one star for the fact that the booklet's texts keeps the meaning of the cards rather superficial, but I didn't because I suppose that was on purpose, so uneducated teenagers with no prior knowledge of Wicca and other esoteric traditions are not put off and understand the cards easily. I for myself was able to go deeper into the wisdom by myself. Still, I would appreciate something a little bit more substantial personally. But nevertheless, these cards have been my constant companions throughout the last years and I have been able to do very accurate and empowering readings with them for myself and others alike. Therefore, full points and a big thank you to the author. She has created something truly magical!

I love this deck. If you didn't read the house of night series it may be a bit hard to relate and understand the cards without the hand book. If you did read the series than use your knowledge of the books to relate and to see what the images and cards are telling you. The art work is amazing and thus is now my favorite deck, ever. Love, love, love it.
They work, no matter what...
I ordered them recently to replace the APP that was not working anymore (btw, does anybody know how to update the APP?). I love Colette's cards and I try to have at least one form (APP, or physical deck) from every single one of them (and often I end up with both, truth be told). Got them today, actually. I just welcomed them by looking at each card, then I pulled cards for the question I had, they worked! Cards were spot on for me and I was not even aware before today of the Goddess Nyx. (The advantage of the physical deck is the special relationship we have to books, they lure us to read them!!! Otherwise I find APPs and normal decks working alike, not once I picked the same card from both for my questions.) I was surprised by the sharp corners, not a choice I would have made, but I truly believe they were helping me stay in the NOW moment and pay attention to my question while shuffling! Happy with this deck, indeed! Thank you to all that put their love and passion in birthing it!
Nice cards
This is my 4th deck of oracle cards. My first deck was by colette baron reid (the map oracle cards) and I absolutely love and recommend them. I didn't order this deck because it was by the same author. I was just looking around at decks, and it just happened to be by the same author. I looked up the cards ahead of time to see if i could "work" with them. They do look beautiful. I like the silver edges and the black, but I guess between the time I placed the order, and the time I got the cards and looked through them, I didn't feel as drawn to them as I did a week ago. I do feel a little bad for putting 3 stars. The cards look beautiful. I did a few quick readings, but the cards I got just felt very abstract/random and very hit or miss for me. The card description in the book seems a little too short (I guess this would be good for those who like room to interpret their own meanings.) I just can't connect to what the card is trying to tell me. :/ Some things work better for others I guess. And considering that most of the reviewers seemed to connect well with this deck, It's unfortunate that I couldn't also :/. --- Revised 8/8/13 I feel a little more intuitive since the last time I used the cards.. so I decided to try another reading. I took the cards out and the bottom card was "denial", it stuck in my mind and when I shuffled and pulled a card from the middle.. it was denial. This happened exactly like the other reading i did with my other deck too! The denial card's description fit perfectly with what I've been telling myself and thinking for a while. Yet it wasn't exactly "denial" as how most see it, but what struck me was the don't "get caught in your desire to reach your goal too soon. You may choose sour fruit that only looks ripe and juicy." You have to remember that we already KNOW what we need, want, etc consiously or subsconsciously. Yet sometimes it's difficult to bring it forward and oracle cards, tarot, etc are tools that help you find the answer more clearly. It was.. in my eyes.. a perfect card for me right now. Since I did a past present and future, all I can agree to were the past and present. But I see where the future is headed and at this point I agree. I also did a where am I now and it was related (denial.) So I raised this to 4 stars. I don't see myself using this deck often though. It has silver edges, but it has tiny silver dust that falls on your hand like glitter. So that makes me hesitant to use this deck. I don't like glittery things.. it freaks me out. It is smaller than glitter but I don't like the "mess" haha.
Nice artwork
I got this today and got a little upset/disappointed because, a few of the cards edges are messed up. But, not enough for me to do the whole return/exchange process so I will keep them. And I was also a little confused and disappointed because, it shows Collette Baron-Reid on the back of the book as if she's one of the cards like P.C. is but there's not any of her in my deck. I do like the artwork and the silver edges. The cards are stiff and a nice thickness but, staticy. There big 5" long × 3 9/16" wide. They're definitely square with the sharp pointed corners. They're hard to shuffle but, I'm sure that'll change after some use. I would buy again and give as a gift.
